Join John Ferguson for an evening stroll through Roundhay Park. Learn how a Quaker businessman built the Mansion and laid out a country estate. How a family quarrel led to the estate being auctioned and how John Barran the Mayor of Leeds financed the purchase for the people of Leeds. How Soldiers Field used to be an aerodrome for the Blackburn Aircraft Company and how the Tram Car Park never had any trams.

The walk will start at 17:00 and will meet at the front of The Mansion.

After the walk why not join us for a chat and some food at The Roundhay Fox, if you would like to join us please email us at office@leedscivictrust.org.uk with your name, and numbers and we will reserve you a table. Please note the cost of food and drink is not included in the ticket price and will need to be paid by the individual at the venue, we will just be reserving you a table.
