New Volunteering Opportunity Cataloguing and Re-interpreting 1980s and 1990s images of Leeds (NOW CLOSED)
Leeds Civic Trust has come into possession of 488 slides taken by Leeds Development Corporation between 1988 and 1995.
Leeds Development Corporation was a government run agency responsible for developing sites in South and Central Leeds, such as Kirkstall Valley (Cardigan Fields) and the city centre waterfront including the Royal Armouries.
We are recruiting volunteers to catalogue these images, submit them to Leodis (an online photography archive holding 70,000 photographs of Leeds) and photograph the sites as they stand today.
This project would be ideal for anyone with an interest in Leeds’ built environment, photography and digital archiving.
How to get involved:
This opportunity has now closed. If you would like to keep up to date with future volunteering projects please email: office@leedscivictrust.org.uk
