Conserving our Buildings
Heritage at Risk List
Our volunteer Heritage Watch Group has been working with Leeds City Council's Conservation Team to update our Heritage at Risk List. This list includes both listed and unlisted buildings in Leeds that are considered worthy of preservation, but at risk. Buildings on our list are either Urgent (that is, in immediate structural danger) or At Risk (that is, vulnerable through neglect and decay). Click below to see the Heritage at Risk List.
Heritage at Risk List
The main aim of the list is to stimulate action. We give the name of the owner where known. The next stage is to work with the owners and Leeds City Council to bring the most vulnerable and important buildings back from the brink.
Living in a Conservation Area guide and Heritage Shopfront Guide
In 2023, we launched two new guides: 'Shopfront Design: A Guide for Businesses and Communities' and 'Living in a Conservation Area: A Guide for Owners and Occupiers'.
These guides provide practical advice for everyone who owns or operates a heritage property or lives and works in a conservation area.
We would like to thank our volunteers that worked so hard on putting these leaflets together!
Please follow the links below to view each leaflet.
