Following the success of last year, The Great LS6 Bear Hunt is back! Join Leeds Civic Trust, Left Bank, HEART Headingley and Hyde Park Picture House for a bear-themed community celebration bringing together local heritage, creativity and a little bit of adventure.
Wednesday 27 August. 10:30-16:00. Pay What You Can
Pick up your beautifully illustrated bear-themed trail map from any of the participating venues and follow the route connecting each site. Along the way, collect stickers, discover local stories and enjoy bear-themed activities at each stop.
You can start your Bear Hunt at whichever venue you choose and explore the trail at your own pace. Just make sure you leave yourself enough time to travel between each location and enjoy all the activities along the way.

Bring your teddy bear along for the adventure!
At the Bear Pit, Leeds Civic Trust will be running bear-themed crafts where you can make a special name tag for them to wear. There will also be a scavenger hunt, a space to enjoy your own picnic, and a chance to explore the history of this recently restored bear pit.
Throughout the day, there will be child-friendly mini tours from the Bear Pit down to Left Bank, exploring the remains of the former zoological gardens and sharing stories about what used to be there.

These sessions are not fixed start times for your Bear Hunt, they simply help us get an idea of when people are arriving at the Bear Pit throughout the day and help us plan for the event. You are welcome to begin your trail at any participating venue and explore the route at your own pace.
