Volunteering

Join us to make a great city better together!

Leeds Civic Trust is a city-centre based charity that promotes improvements to the City of Leeds in the fields of development, heritage, and public amenity.

Funded by members and supporters, most of our activity is undertaken by volunteers who are supported by a small team of paid staff.

How to get involved!

Whether you can give a year, a week, or a day of your time, there's a place for you in our volunteering team!

We offer a range of volunteering opportunities that can fit around your life and can be as flexible as you wish. We also have a range of opportunities for those looking for a longer more committed volunteering role.

When you're ready, you can apply here.

How do our volunteering opportunities work?

We have three streams of volunteering, Groups/Panels which help support the work of the Trust in achieving its vision, Projects, for example, support with digitalising our vast photo archive and thirdly volunteering support such as supporting at events, backstopping on walks, writing articles for our newsletter, helping to distribute marketing material and much more!
Without our volunteers, we simply couldn’t achieve what we do.

Groups and Panels at Leeds Civic Trust

Here at the Trust, we have created a collection of groups/panels that develop key areas of the Trust. These groups are for someone looking for a more long-term volunteering role.

Volunteering Opportunities

If you don’t have the time commitment to join one of our regular groups and panels but would still like to volunteer, we have a range of projects and support roles. Find out more here.
