A Trip to Victorian Leeds!

Run of the Mill History event with a special discount for Leeds Civic Trust members.

Tuesday 16th / Wednesday 17th December, 12:30pm

Step back to The ‘Good’ Old Days!

With a special discount for Leeds Civic Trust members, we are proud to present this promenade into Victorian Leeds. Venture back in time over 120 years and visit Leeds at the close of the last century with a time travelling resident!

Visit the city in a time when carts and trams fought for road space, clogs clattered over cobbles and the first moving images flickered into life. Join our promenade into Leeds’ untold past, led by an failing music hall artiste, played by an experienced actor and historian. This event is part tour-part promenade performance, ask your Victorian host anything you want, she’ll be sure to think of an answer! (She’s a star of Victorian Variety, so expect a little bit of singing and the occasional joke!)This is a unique experience that shouldn’t be missed!

We will start outside Leeds Civic Trust before moving on to The Parish church, Dock Street and ending at The Adelphi, a prime example of a Victorian Public House! This journey will take approximately an half an hour and end at Leeds Bridge, with the option of joining us at The Pub after. Both local and national history will be covered. Leeds Civic Trust members receive a special rate on their tickets.
