Join Leeds Civic Trust for Its First Ever Heritage Open Days Booklet Launch Event!
08 July, 17:30 at Hyde Park Picture House
For the past 27 years, Leeds Civic Trust has proudly coordinated Heritage Open Days across the Leeds District and produced an accompanying booklet. This year, we’re excited to invite you, the dedicated openers, to a special event celebrating all things HODs and an opportunity to meet fellow openers!
Come along for an enjoyable evening with drinks, popcorn and special guests. We will be joined by The Yorkshire Film Archive for a short film, they have delved into their vaults to reveal rare moving images of Leeds from an architectural perspective. From iconic landmarks like the Town Hall and Leeds University to our heritage shopping haunts, or the fondly remembered buildings now long gone, see the cityscape of Leeds through the lens of the film makers over the decades. We’re also delighted to host Mark Johnston from Page\Park Architects, who will share insights into the restoration and redevelopment of the Hyde Park Picture House.
We will end the evening with a chance to meet fellow Leeds based HODs openers and collect your copies of this year’s festival booklet!
We’d love for you to join us.
Please register your attendance via the link below, and feel free to share this invitation with other Heritage Open Days openers and colleagues. The more, the merrier as we come together to celebrate the incredible contributions that make Leeds a standout HODs community.
We look forward to seeing you there!
If you register but are later unable to attend, please remember to cancel your ticket so we can accommodate others.
