This lecture on Leeds in the English Civil War contains the latest research on the subject. It examines the divisions within the town, the impact of war on local families, including the distress and destruction caused by military action at this critical moment in the country’s history.
The lecture will be delivered by local historian Steven Burt, who will give an illustrated talk in one of Leeds most historic churches.
