We are pleased to announce a Leeds Civic Trust members-only session of ‘Music Memories’ at Music House.
Tuesday 20 January. 10:30-12:00. Music House.
Music House welcome you to Music Memories, a gentle, joyful project aimed at older adults, to bring people together by sharing stories through song. Each session will focus on conversation and musical reminiscence around themes like “Songs from our school days” or “The first record I bought.” It’s all about laughter, nostalgia and connection — a feel-good 90 minutes where memories come alive, voices are heard, and friendships blossom.
The wonderful facilitators will be visiting different locations in Woodhouse, Little London and Chapeltown with a beautiful record player, bringing not just music but memories. They’ll arrive with songs that spark stories, melodies that rebuild connections and tunes that unlock treasured moments. Alongside the music comes warmth, companionship and a safe space to reminisce, laugh and share. It’s more than a visit, it’s the joy of familiar voices, forgotten favourites and the magic that begins with the first gentle crackle of vinyl.
On 20th January, the Music Memories session will be for Leeds Civic Trust members only. Get your ticket and share your music memories with some new friends. Tickets are just £5 and include tea and cake.
