The Great LS6 Bear Hunt

A day of bear-themed fun across LS6 celebrating the restoration of  Bear Pit.

Join us for a special day of bear-filled activities as we celebrate the recent renovation of the historic Bear Pit on Cardigan Road. In partnership with Left Bank, Hyde Park Picture House, Headingley Enterprise & Arts (HEART) Centre, and Leeds Civic Trust, The Great LS6 Bear Hunt is a community celebration for all ages.


Teddy Bears’ Picnic

As part of The Great LS6 Bear Hunt, we are delighted to host a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at the Headingley Bear Pit! Bring your teddy bears, picnic blankets, and snacks, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the Bear Pit gardens. Families can take part in:

  • Bear-themed storytelling
  • Wildflower seed throwing
  • A bear themed scavenger hunt
  • Teddy bear repair station

Story & Rhyme Information
