Treasurer Needed Square

Treasurer Needed!

Our long standing treasurer, Robert Solyom, is moving away from Leeds and standing down from his role later this year. So we’re looking for a new treasurer!

Day to day finances at Leeds Civic Trust are managed by the staff team. The Treasurer’s role is to maintain an overview of the Trust’s finances and to report back to the Board of Trustees on the financial health of the organisation. On appointment, the Treasurer automatically becomes a Trustee.

This voluntary role would suit someone with an accountancy or book keeping background. We currently use QuickBooks to manage our finances, so some familiarity with this software package would be useful but not essential.

Time commitments: The treasurer attends our quarterly Finance and General Purposes Committee meetings, which take place in the middle of the day, and our Board of Trustees which has four full meetings per year in the early evening plus a strategy away day. These meetings are run on a hybrid basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the work of Leeds Civic Trust in our 60th year. We have recently published a refreshed vision 2025-2030, which gives an overview of our organisational values and objectives.

If you would like to discuss this further please contact us by emailing office@leedscivictrust.org.uk with some information about your skills and experience.
