Come to the 2025 Leeds Architecture Awards ceremony and celebrate the best in architecture and design in our city!

Leeds City Council, Leeds Civic Trust, Leeds Society of Architects and RIBA are delighted to invite you to join them for an evening of celebration, recognising the excellence in design across the city of Leeds, taking place at the Howard Assembly Room.

Winners and commendations will be announced from shortlisted schemes covering the following categories:
- Adapted buildings
- Public Realm and Landscape
- New Buildings with a Construction Cost under £10 million
- New Buildings with a Construction Cost above £10 million
We will also be presenting two special awards: The Mark Finch Award and The People’s Choice Award.
The Mark Finch Award will recognise the achievements of a person who has made a significant positive impact on the built environment and placemaking within the Leeds Metropolitan District. Sponsored by Rushbond PLC in memory of Mark Finch, whose work with the company delivered some of Leeds’s most important historic and contemporary buildings.
The People’s Choice Award, launched to mark Leeds Civic Trust’s 60th anniversary, inviting the public to vote for their favourite building completed in Leeds between 1965 and 2025.

The shortlisted schemes were considered by three judges:
- Martin Farrington former Director of City Development from 2010 to 2024 at LCC
- Mark Latham, Regeneration Director at Urban Splash
- Prue Chiles, Professor of Architectural Design Research at Newcastle University
Together, the judges visited and reviewed all shortlisted sites before selecting the winners in each category. The judges may also award commendations to shortlisted schemes.
At this year’s awards ceremony, you will be greeted with drinks and canapes from 6.20 pm, followed by the awards ceremony. Seating will be theatre style.
As with previous years former BBC journalist and presenter Andrew Edwards will be your host.
