Mills Transformed

Mills Transformed: Images and Stories of Industrial Mill Regeneration in the North of England

Drawing on his recently published ‘Mills Transformed’ book, Neil Horsley will discuss the importance of industrial mills, the human stories behind successful local mill renovation schemes and how further mills can be regenerated and repurposed.

Tuesday 13 January. 15:00-16:30. Hope Foundry, Mabgate.

Neil Horsley is the creator and author of ‘Mills Transformed’ a project documenting restored and repurposed textile mills. Over the last four years, he has interviewed and photographed the people who have renovated and brought new life to over 35 previously disused mills across the North of England.

Join Neil at this presentation of stunning images followed by Q&A to learn how entrepreneurship has saved many heritage buildings from dereliction and how new uses have been found through creative thinking and collaboration.

The book will be available for sale at the event. Tea and coffee will be available (inclusive in ticket price).
