A visit to the Vickers Oils plant, including a presentation about the company, a tour around the site, and a Q&A session.
Thursday 7 May. 12:00-14:00
Vickers Oils are blenders of oils and greases for marine and textile machinery, food manufacture, and general industrial applications. The company, though relatively small, sells its products world-wide and has a first-class reputation. They are a long-established family-run business. The visit will be run by Scott Glynn, the Operations Manager, but we may well be greeted by Will Vickers, the current CEO and the 7th generation of the family to run the business.
The company’s long history contributes to the industrial heritage of Leeds.
The visit does not include their new food-grade facility in Leeds.
All visitors must wear steel-toe-capped boots or shoes and a hi-viz jacket. If you do not have steel toe capped boots, please let us know your shoe size on booking by emailing office@leedscivictrust.org.uk.
