A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Heritage Open Days 2026!

From 11–20 September, people across Leeds came together to explore our history, discover hidden places, hear stories and experience the heritage that makes our city so special!

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers, organisers, venues and local organisations who made this year’s festival possible. Your time, enthusiasm and support are what make Heritage Open Days such a fantastic celebration of our shared heritage.

We hope you enjoyed discovering something new and making the most of this year’s festival.

Heritage Open Days is brought to you by the National Trust, supported by Postcode Lottery players, and delivered locally by a large range of organisations. In Leeds the festival is delivered by Leeds Civic Trust
