This 1-hectare site in Chapeltown was acquired from Leeds City Council and transformed into a wonderfully diverse and vibrant area full of people who are make things happen and taking control of improving their lives.

This is the second cohousing project in Leeds, following the success of the award-winning Lilac cohousing in Bramley, which launched in 2013.

Getting to ChaCo by bus: Chaco is accessible by public transport. If arriving from the city centre, buses number 12, 13 and 13A are just on the doorstep on Roundhay Road, the barrack road stop near our rainbow doors. You can also take number 2, 3, 3A or 36 to the Mandela centre and walk along barrack Road to Chaco on your left.
Getting to ChaCo by bike: There are convenient cycle lanes on Chapeltown Road and Roseville Road.
Getting to ChaCo by car: If arriving by car, be aware that some satnavs still struggle to find ChaCo. Aim for Chapeltown Health Centre and drive straight on past the health centre parking, then turn into the car park on the right near our homes with the white render – not to be confused with the fully red brick blocks on your left.
Parking: There is limited parking on site and additional off road parking along Leopold street. Visitors are asked to display a visitor parking card ChaCo will provide on arrival.
Important information: Please don’t bring dogs into the common house and keep dogs on a lead when in the garden. The common house is nut free.
